Cianga (Chia-nga) is a Congolese multimedia artist based in California. Cia began their art career in slam poetry and fiction, where they won multiple competitions including the Oakland Poetry Slam.
Cianga's work on themes of home, mental health and explorations of self also led them to be the keynote speaker at Houston's annual A.R.I.E.S symposium. They write, draw, compose, perform with the belief of black art as radical joy and critical protest.
When not in class, Cia can be found streaming, or consuming questionable amounts of chocolate.
